The center of Paklenica Riviera, famous tourist center is situated at the bottom of the mountainchain Velebit. As it is near to Zadar ( 40 km ) it has good connections to the major cities in Croatia and abroad by all modern means of transport.

The region is characherised by two very different types of climate. The mild mediterian one and rough mountain one. Starigrad is surrounded by 4 National Parks : Lakes of Plitvice, Paklenica, The islands of Kornati and Water falls of Krka river. Also near Starigrad is beautiful canyon of river Zrmanja. Paklenica riviera gives a lot of possibilities for excursions and active vacations. In the town center you will find: post office, restaurants, shops and other tourist attractions.
